Fast, Easy and Delicious

At Christmas we all like to give something special. This Christmas give some homemade candy. its simple and fast, not to meniton the tase is fabulious!

Coconut Chews

3C Brown Sugar

1 C milk

1 tsp butter

1C flaked coconut

Melt 1 cup brown sugar, add milk and remaining sugar and butter. Boil to a soft ball add coconut and beat drop by teaspoons onto wax paper and cool.

Bonbons

you can made many different types with this simple recipe

1 (3oz) cream cheese

2 1/2 C sifted confectioners sugar

1/4 tsp vanilla

1 (3 1/2 oz) can flaked coconut

Beat Cream cheese until light and fluffy. add sugar gradually and continue beating until well mixed. add vanilla and mix well. form into bite size balls. roll in coconut. Chill for several hour.

another option is to mix the coconut in with the cream cheese mixture, then add raisins and nuts. place in freezer for 1 hour.

Melt dipping chocolate in double boiler until smooth. remove bonbons from freezer and dip into the chocolate. place back on wax paper lined cookie sheet and place back in freezer.

they are both great candy that can be given as gifts or just shared with your family and friends. so enjoy once again and remember great food starts with love!
